Public VPS

The public stack runs from a Fedora VPS with Podman services behind Caddy.

  • Caddy: TLS and public routing.

  • Mosquitto: MQTT broker for Meshtastic traffic.
  • MeshMonitor: public node map and dashboard.
  • PotatoMesh Web: ingestion API and map companion.

Tailscale keeps operator-only services off the public internet while still allowing remote administration and monitoring.

  • Private service dashboards.
  • Host-to-host ingress paths.
  • Remote maintenance without exposing admin ports.
Local Ingress

Wormhole radio bridge

The Wormhole host connects local radio hardware back to the public services over the private link.

  • Host: Dell OptiPlex class machine.
  • Runtime: Podman user services.
  • Work: forwards node, position, telemetry, and message data into PotatoMesh.
